A short walk in the Majura Bush

On Sunday Danz and I went for a bush walk at Mt Majura. Wikipedia describes Mt Majura as 'a small mountain located in Canberra'. It is 888 metres high and is part of the Canberra Nature Park. It is a popular place for walkers, with and without dogs and for mountain bicyclists (eek!).

It was a perfect day for a walk, shifting clouds, cool and some sun shining through. The walk we attempted to take is the second walk in '30 Family Bushwalks in and around Canberra' by Graeme Barrow (4th Edition). This is a terrific little book, though some of the tracks he describes have changed a bit since the book was published in 2002.

Here are some pics of the walk :-)

Is it already spring on the south coast?

I spent the last couple of days at Huskisson on the South Coast. It was warm, sunny and still. Absolutely perfect spring weather. Beach, good coffee, dolphins......not bad, not bad at all.

How perfect is this?

Cutest coffee EVER!

At the National Gallery of Australia, afternoon tea with a good friend and I got THIS coffee! Is that the cutest coffee ever or what?
artistic coffee @ the NGA!

This is the same friend who gave me the gorgeous black and white knitted/felted top I am wearing in the photo below. How I score buddies like this, I don't know. Just got lucky I guess.

I've been ultra busy the last few weeks finishing up the work for my Diploma of Art and Design. We finished up the semester with an exhibition of our work. It was a great little exhibition. I have nothing but grand praise for the quality of teaching and teachers at CIT in Canberra. The diploma has been excellent, I am looking forward to the Advanced Dip!
I did a lot of drawing and made a short film of the process, inspired by William Kentridge.

I also painted lots of self portraits! I am starting to feel like Frida Kahlo, just need a parrot and some fancy jewellery.
